Stage 0 · How AI Act Ready works with clients

Governance support vs legal advice

Recognise the boundary between practical governance implementation and legal interpretation.

Learn

Consultants can explain how the AI Act is structured, what information is needed for classification, what controls are commonly required and what evidence should exist.

Escalate where the answer depends on contested statutory interpretation, litigation exposure, employment law, data-protection law, contractual liability or another specialist legal judgement.

Phrase uncertain points as issues to validate: 'Our working classification is X because of Y; legal confirmation is required on Z.'

Remember
  • •Explain requirements; do not invent legal conclusions.
  • •Separate facts, assumptions and interpretations.
  • •Escalation is a sign of disciplined consulting, not weakness.
Client practice

Rewrite this risky statement: 'This system is definitely legal in the EU.'
