Stage 3 · Turn requirements into working governance

Management review, internal audit and corrective action

Prove the AIMS is monitored and improved by management.

Learn

Internal audit checks whether the management system conforms to the organisation's planned arrangements and is effectively implemented.

Management review gives leadership a structured view of performance, changes, audit results, risks, incidents and improvement needs.

Corrective action should address root cause, not only patch the immediate symptom, and effectiveness should be checked later.

Remember
  • •Audit tests the system.
  • •Management owns review decisions.
  • •Correct root cause and verify effectiveness.
Client practice

Turn a repeated failure to review new AI vendors into a nonconformity, root cause, corrective action and effectiveness check.
