Explain what meaningful human oversight looks like in practice.
For high-risk AI, human oversight is intended to enable natural persons to understand limitations, monitor operation, interpret outputs appropriately and intervene where necessary.
A named human who always clicks 'approve' is not strong evidence of meaningful oversight. Automation bias can turn nominal review into rubber-stamping.
Good oversight design gives the reviewer enough information, authority, time and technical ability to challenge or override the AI.
The client says every AI decision has human sign-off. Name three pieces of evidence you would request to test whether that sign-off is meaningful.
